Manga/Book: Haven't been reading ANYTHING lately...
Anime: Really haven't been watching much lately, either...
Game: World of Warcraft (I am DETERMINED to get Crynne to Outlands!)

I know most people either didn't like Speed Racer, or just didn't see it because of the bad reviews, but I'm here to tell you that Speed Racer is an excellent movie. Maybe it's the geek in me talking when I say this, but I haven't had that much fun watching a movie in a long LONG time. I went in there expecting the movie to be just as cheesy and ridiculous as the old tv show (of which I was never a fan but have over the years developed a respect for), but was instead quite pleasantly surprised by it. Yes, it was cheesy at times and a total sensory overload, but it also had a whole lot of heart. There were points when I actually caught myself tearing up a bit. The characters where all very well cast and although Spritle (sp?) was terribly goofy, I found him quite funny! Chim Chim, too. Jack (Matthew Fox) was great as Racer X. Emile Hursh was perfect as Speed. John Goodman was the best choice for Pops. All in all, it was a great cast!

The racing was incredible, too. MIND BLOWING. If Nascar was like that, I would TOTALLY watch it! XD The drifting, the jump jacks, the sexy sexy cars~ Yuuuuummmm~ And all the post production! It was absolutely incredible. And the geek in me was dying of glee when Speed was wearing his red ascot and blue t-shirt and when he leapt out of his car and swished his arm up across his chest just like in the original opening of Speed Racer. And all the times he said his signature "OhHh!"~ It was PEEERRRFECT! Those lovely geeky Wachowski brothers, they've done it again.

I REAAAAALLY hope they're able to finish the second and third movies. They might not even break even with this one, though. And that. Is. Sad.

In other news...

ACen is this weekend! We're leaving on Thursday after class and staying until Sunday morning. I CANNOT WAIT. Especially because ~nozomi-neko and ~goofoofighter are going to be there~ They say they're going to teach Issa and I how to do the Bleach musical dance. Anyone else in our group want in? I think it would be awesome to have InuYasha and Kagome dancing Bleachly~ XDDDD Eh, eh, *megoomba and *messa EH?? LAWL~

I'm also looking forward to meeting up with *the-red-touch and possibly ~DDRzukamori there, too! And hanging out at the art table with mah peeps~ If you want to find us, I think their studio name is Epic Win. Right, *direndria?

We're also bringing Wii games and our Wii. So if any of you who are going to be hanging with us have any GameCube controllers you can bring so we can play Smash Bros Brawl, that would be awesome~ Extra Wii controllers and nunchuks would be good, too. ^^

Next year, guys, we MUST do our ToS group, mmkay? I swore I would be Forcystus, and I WILL be! OR SO HELP ME! *shake fist*

School is almost over, too. Two more weeks including this one. I am really stressing out... Final projects=not too much fun... But once it's over, it's over. And that will be very nice~ ^^
